ABOUT THE ARTIST

​​Artist, writer, and translator Susan Polizzotto has studied Japanese language, history, and culture since 1984. She's practiced shodō for a decade under the creative guidance of Mitsuyo “Mitzi” Ito and taken part in workshops led by Kazuaki “Kaz” Tanahashi and Satsuki Hatsushima. She teaches shodō online and in her studio in North Carolina.
